William E. Moore, Jr.

Bill Moore graduated from Valdosta State University and received his Bachelor of Arts and Master of Arts degrees in 1969 and 1972. He received his Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree in 1978 from the Walter F. George School of Law at Mercer University. While at Law School he was a member of Phi Delta Phi, the Moot Court Team and the Editorial Board of the Mercer Law Review. He also received the prestigious Milton Barwick Pleading and Practice Award, awarded annually for the most outstanding student advocate.

Mr. Moore is a member of many professional organizations including the State Bar of Georgia, State Bar of Florida, Georgia Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers, Georgia and Florida Trial Lawyers Association, the Valdosta Bar Association (Past President), and the Georgia Bar Foundation. He is a fellow to the Georgia Bar Foundation and served on the Board of Governors for the State Bar of Georgia two terms.

His areas of practice include general and criminal litigation. He is licensed to practice in all State civil and criminal courts. He and his long-time associate, George Saliba, successfully tried a nationally watched case on Court T.V. and later appeared on Inside Edition, Court T.V. and Dateline NBC to discuss the trial.

Locally, Bill is active in his church and community affairs. He currently serves as President of the Board of Governors of Valdosta County Club. He is Past-President of Valdosta State University Alumni Association, Elder at First Christian Church, Past President of the VSU Board of Governors, Vice-President of the YMCA Board of Directors, and belongs to many other charitable and civic organizations. His representative clients include most lending institutions in the Valdosta area, the Valdosta Lowndes County Conference Center and Tourism Authority, Valdosta State University and the Valdosta Mall. He is also a licensed and certified mediator/arbitrator.
